If your outbound isn’t generating meetings every week, the problem isn’t the market or the algorithm - it’s the message. Most reps think they have a volume problem, when really they have a relevance problem.

After reviewing hundreds of campaigns, we’ve found that 9 out of 10 fail for the same three reasons: they sound templated, they talk at personas instead of to people, and they end with weak CTAs.

Fix these three, and your inbox starts to look very different.

If your outbound isn’t booking meetings weekly, do this

I If your outbound isn’t booking meetings weekly

There’s a 90% chance you’re breaking one of these three rules ↓

1. Your message feels templated.

And no…

Changing the {First Name} and {Company}
Doesn’t make it personalized.

What does?

- Citing their ICP or GTM motion back to them
- Matching the tone they use in their social media posts
- Referencing a real event like a hiring push or funding round

Generic praise = ignored. Precision = interest.

2. You’re writing to a persona, not a person.

Most outbound copy is written like a pitch deck.
High-level jargon, vague benefits, zero texture.

Want responses?

- Write like a peer, not a vendor.
- Lead with insight and value, not intros.
- Make the offer specific, selfish, and safe to say yes to.

It should read like something their teammate could’ve sent.

3. Your CTA is an afterthought.

A CTA isn't a throwaway line.
It's the moment the reader decides if this was worth opening.

Here’s what doesn’t work:

“Open to a quick call?”
“Let me know if interested.”
“Would love to connect!”

Here’s what does:

“Worth a 7-min call to see how this compares to {X}?”
“Want me to send over the deck we used to get 9 demos in 2 weeks?”
“Can show you what we did for {competitor}, same stage, same problem.”

You’re not asking for time. You’re offering clarity.
The only reason why I’m even giving these pointers is because…

Outbound is NOT broken.
It works when you optimize for intelligence.

Because the best cold emails?

→ Don’t sound cold. → Don’t feel templated. → Don’t waste a single word.

They feel intentional. Relevant. Impossible to ignore.

Because that’s not a volume game.

It’s a craft.
