SALES

Nobody warns you about these 3 "recommended settings" that kill your cold email campaigns.

Removing these tripled our response rates:

  1. Unsubscribe Links
Most people think they need these for compliance. You don't - the CAN-SPAM Act doesn't require them for B2B emails. Unless in newsletter emails like this one, they are a spam signal that you're sending bulk cold emails.

  2. HTML Formatting
Sending tools enable HTML by default, but this immediately shows providers you're using mass email software. Switch to plain text - it makes your emails look like they're being sent manually.

  3. Email Timing
Default sending delays are usually 1 minute between emails. This means thousands of emails get sent exactly at 9 AM - obvious automated behavior. Increase delays to 8 minutes per account. Most businesses get leads. Then, follow up 1-2 times. Then, stop. But the majority of customers don’t buy that fast. Meaning, by only following up 1-2 times, you are losing probably half of your sales or more.
